Timmis BrianTIMMIS, Brian Roy - Passed away peacefully at his home in Burlington, on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in his 88th year.

Loving husband of the late Diane (nee Opie) (2012).

Devoted father of Sue Prosser (Rod), Shawn Parry (Bob), and Brian E. Timmis (Jennifer). Brian was a caring grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear brother in law of Dr. J.A. Opie (Marg). Predeceased by his parents Ada and Brian M. Timmis and 2 grandchildren.

In his early years Brian played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, he then came back to Hamilton to become one of the co-owners and leading principle of Saunders and Timmis Insurance.

He was an active member and president of the Rotary Club of Burlington and a member of the Holimont Ski Club, NY. Brian’s greatest pleasures came from spending his summers at his Muskoka cottage, skiing at Holimont or in Europe, and spending quality time with his friends and family.

Private cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at The Burlington Golf and Country Club on Monday, May 8th, where friends and guests are welcome to visit with the family from 12 noon onward.

Donations in Brian’s memory to a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated.

Brian you will truly be missed by all of your friends and family.
