Stanton RaymondSTANTON, Raymond Clifford - It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of Raymond Clifford Stanton on August 6, 2017 at Trillium Health Centre from complications of surgery this summer.

Son of Jane and Bill Stanton and Husband of Katherine Stanton (Merry).

He leaves behind 3 sons, Dr. Tom and Julie Stanton (Rennie), Ray and Stacie Stanton (Moffatt) and Bill and Traci Stanton (Buchinski).

He was a proud grandfather of 8 amazing grandchildren, Will, Maddy, Meg, Charlie, Jane, Matthew, Allison and Keally.

Born Christmas Day, 1937 in Pittsburgh, he lived an authentic Canadian life. After attending Appleby College and then MacDonald College in Quebec, he embarked on a 56 year marriage to Katherine Merry. They moved to Caledon to live a life as hobby farmers and raise their family.

Friends may visit at athe Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, on Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 11th at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to his favourite charity, Ian Anderson Cancer Hospice House in Oakville.
