Duffy SusanneDUFFY, Susanne Joan (nee Weber) - Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the age of 85.

Loving mother of Mary Ellen Hewitson (late David Munn). Cherished grandmother of Tyler (Marley Gourlay-Sturgess), Timothy and Brie Anne, and fondly remembered by their father Trevor Hewitson (Laurie Tweedie).

Dear sister of Marylyn Henwood (late Don) and Rev. James “Jim” Weber (Muriel Jane “MJ”).

Sue will also be missed by extended family, fellow members of St. Christopher’s Anglican Church and Choir and friends from the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority: Chapter Perceptor Beta Epsilon.

As a graduate of the Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing - class of 1953, Sue will be fondly remembered by her fellow graduates and former colleagues from her time as a Registered Nurse at Henderson General Hospital OR (now Juravinski Hospital) in Hamilton.

Visitation will be held at Smith’s funeral home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington on Sunday, September 10th from 4-7pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church (662 Guelph Line, Burlington), on Monday, September 11th at 1:00pm. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Reception at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church to follow the interment.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Sue’s memory to St. Christopher’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund or Hamilton Health Sciences directed toward the Hamilton General ICU would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
