McDougall LoisMcDOUGALL, Lois Katherine  – on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

Lois was born on October 26, 1926 in the family home in Hornby, Ontario and lived a long and fruitful life, touching and encouraging many people.

Beloved wife of late Jim for 71 years, soulmates until the end, Lois is joining Jim only 40 days after his passing on October 25.

She began and ended her teaching career in Oakville while raising a family of seven children with Jim.

Lois was very proud of her family and lived her life as a loving and faith-filled wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by treasured children David (Carol), Keith (Glenda), Merry Daikens (Dave), Paul (Mary Lou), Daniel (Sandi), Nancy Wells (Jim), Christopher (Denise) and much loved ‘adopted’ daughter Cathi. Lois and Jim have 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren whom they loved dearly, sister-in-law Dorothy Merry, niece Rosalyn and nephew Harold (Nancy) as well as numerous great nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her husband Jim (October 2017), parents Amy and Percy, brother Keith Merry and sister-in-law Margaret Mc Dougall.

Many thanks to the amazing and caring staff at Wyndham Manor who brightened every day for Lois and Jim. A special thanks to many visitors who brought love, light and Christian caring to Lois and Jim.

Private interment by the family will be on December 12, 2017, followed by a public memorial service at 2:00 pm at Harvest Bible Chapel, 500 Great Lakes Blvd, Oakville, ON, L6L 6X9.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’ name would be appreciated at either of Harvest Bible Chapel or Oakville Trafalgar Hospital Foundation.
