Kirkwood RonKIRKWOOD, Ronald 'Ron' - Suddenly at Hamilton General Hospital, on January 9, 2018 at the age of 70.

Beloved husband of Mari for 46 years. Ron is survived by his sisters; Marlyn Blair (Ian), Wilma Duncan (John), Valerie Kirkwood, Pamela Kirkwood (John). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and god children.

Ron's engineering career spanned over 50 years, with the latter 33 spent at Dofasco as senior cranes and lifting equipment specialist. Many may remember him from the Canadian Masters at Heron Point, the Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, coaching ladies’ volleyball, mentoring junior achievement programs or as volunteer, greeter, starter and marshal at Hidden Lake Golf Club and Dragon’s Fire Golf Club.

 

Wisniewski CazWISNIEWSKI, Cazmer 'Caz' William - (1944 – 2018) - After a brief illness, Caz passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, January 8th, 2018.

Beloved husband of Suzanne Desjardins. Loving father of Sharon (Michael Croxon), Sheila (Mark Edgar) and Mark (Tracey Mikita).

Dear Papa of Anna, Grace, Sarah, James, Julia, Zach and Noah. Baby brother of Mary (the late John Buchowski), Verna Wisniewski, Peter (Doris) Wisniewski and the late Joe (Marie) Wisniewski, Lazo (Mickey) Wisniewski, Steve (Jane) Wilson, Ann (Bill) Friel, Jean (Roy) Grenon, John Wisniewski and Michael (Cheryl) Wisniewski. Uncle Caz will be remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews. Remembering the mother of Sharon, Sheila and Mark, the late Anne Wisniewski.

 

Vormbaum AlexVORMBAUM, Alexander - Our beloved Alex lost his battle with drug addiction on the evening of January the 8th, 2018, at 22 years of age.

His parents, Manfred and Lieska, and his sister Claudia grieve his loss, but take comfort that his struggle is over.

Janet was the loving mother of Ed Russell, Tina Gallagher (Craig) and the late Steven Russell, adoring grandma of Megan and Steven Gallagher and caring sister of Roberta Dyer (the late Art), Amy Shevalier (Roger), Don McKillop and Rufus McKillop.

Janet will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Donna (nee Birdsell). Loving father of Tammy (Bob Wojtowycz) and Trina (Craig Ibbotson). Grandpa of Darien and Joshua, and one great grandchild on the way.

Dear brother of Philip (Pat), Frances (Frank), and Marjorie. Sadly missed by mother in law Ruby Birdsell, and great friends Barry Ibbotson, Paul Trudel, Steve and Susan Vucko. Survived by many family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Harold William (Mickey) McNulty, and loving mother of Lee (Alan), Maria (Antonio), and Nadine (Jamie). Dear sister of Rosa Palmer and sister-in-law of Bodil Berg.

Predeceased by her parents Nazzareno Ferri and Clelia (nee Nicolini); brothers Mario, Aldo, Quinto and Nicola, and sisters Mary, Lucia, sisters-in-law Barbara, Alice, and Marie. Ada is lovingly remembered by grandchildren Kent and Nadia Maria (Marcus).

Ernie was involved in the reinforcing steel industry. Involved in projects including the Rogers Centre, First Ontario Place, the CN Tower and Hibernia (NFLD). Owner of Jay Reinforcing Steel before retiring. Past chairman of the negotiating committee for Ironworkers.

Scobie MaureenSCOBIE, Maureen 'Mo' MargaretMaureen Scobie (nee Sutherland) passed away peacefully and comfortably under the excellent care of the Bethell House staff in Inglewood, Ontario, on Monday, January 8, 2018.

Maureen was born in Montreal in 1930 but grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia with her younger sister, Joan. There she met her (late) husband Tom during her teenage years. After they married in 1953, they eventually settled in Mississauga where they raised their 3 children, Linda (Doug Soules), Marlene (Michael Schroeder) and Barbara (Rick May). 

In 1986 Maureen was determined to return "home" during retirement and initiated the move to Ingonish Beach, Cape Breton. Both she and Tom spent many enjoyable years active in the community and connecting with friends, old and new.
