Devoted Husband to Barbara Ellis (Taylor) for 42 years.

Loving Father to Lindsay Newton (Greg), Jeffrey Ellis (Arin), and Morgan Prostran (Danilo).

Beloved Poppa to Mitchell, Maxwell, Mason, Sofia, Miles, Sydney, Alexandra and Gabriel.

Douglas was an employee with Toronto Dominion Bank for 25 years and rose to the rank of Senior Executive before enjoying many years of retirement.

 

Christie IsabelleCHRISTIE, Isabelle - Passed away peacefully on October 2, 2017 after a wonderful 96 years.

She leaves behind Jim, her beloved husband of 68 years, her children Douglas Christie (Jane) of Calgary, Fiona Christie (Asoka) and Patricia Belvedere (the late Mario), grandchildren Jessica (Mark), Laura and Dan, her great grandchildren Keely and Raegan, and her sister Chris Moppett.

She was predeceased by her siblings James, Richard, Georgina and Alice and her grandchildren Mark and Rachael.

 

Rozic IvanROZIC, Ivan - Passed away peacefully, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 2, 2017 in his 80th year.

Loving husband of Zlata for 56 years. Cherished father of Miro (Linda) of Brantford, Ivanka Goossen (Rick) of Mississauga. Loving grandfather of Cameron and Erica.

Predeceased by sister Zora Bosiljevac and by brother Jura Rozic. Will be lovingly remembered by his many family and friends.

 

Lahey KenLAHEY, Kenneth John - Peacefully at Georgetown Hospital on Monday October 2, 2017. Ken Lahey of Acton, Ontario, in his 75th year.

Beloved husband of Shaaron Holloway. Dear father of Daniel Seymour (Tara Callaghan). Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Todd (Kasia), Sierra, Bailee and Cassie and great-grandchildren, Lilly and Tyler.

Dear brother of Keith (Margaret) Lahey and Trish (Brian) Bridger. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and May, his sisters Janet and Maureen, and brothers Michael and Richard. Also survived by brother-in-law, Ron and several nieces and nephews.

 

St. JACQUES, Jean Paul - (1928 - 2017) - Peacefully, in his 89th year, Jean Paul St. Jacques passed at Wellington Park Care Centre, on October 2, 2017.

Loving father of Randy, Rene, Andre, Arianne, Chantal and Nicole.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family in the Toronto area, and Thunder Bay.

 

Jager GeorgeJAGER, George - (1946 - 2017) - Sadly we announce the sudden passing of George Jager, age 70, at his home in Burlington, Ontario on October 1, 2017.

George was born in Germany to the late Stanley and Anna Jager. Although life was not easy for George, he always put family first. He worked hard to make sure his family had everything they needed and took pride in any work that he did.

George is survived and was greatly loved by his wife Barbara (nee Burley) and his son Michael and daughter Pamela (Mike) Martin. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Olivia and Sabreena.

 

Findlay GlenFINDLAY, Glen Ian - (February 28, 1937 – October 1, 2017) - Passed peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Milton District Hospital in his 81st year.

Loving husband to Mary Findlay for 54 years. Dear father of Ian (Janet), George and Rosemary. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Evelyn, Andres and Sebastian.

Glen taught for 35 years at E.C. Drury School for the Deaf in Milton, ON. He will be remembered for his love of playing the piano and woodworking. He was an Elder at Knox Presbyterian Church for 40 years.

 

Di Marcello RudyDi MARCELLO, Rodolfo 'Rudy' - It is with great sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Nonno, Rodolfo Di Marcello on Sunday October 1st, 2017.

After a heroic battle, and surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren Rodolfo was taken from us too soon.

Survived by his devoted and loving wife Teresa, dearest son Gino, and his wife Laurie (his second daughter), and beloved daughter Laura.

Dearest Nonno to his pride and joy, his granddaughters, Grace and Emma.

 

OBrien PatO'BRIEN, Patricia Marie 'Pat' - Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on October 1, 2017 at the age of 83.

Cherished sister of Theresa (Frank Stubbs). Patricia will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, and many cousins and friends.

Pat enjoyed a successful career as a dedicated teacher. She was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League. In retirement, she spent time volunteering at Joseph Brant Hospital and became a member of the RTO.

 

WADDELL, Doris 'Irene' - (July 15, 1950 - October 1, 2017) - It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Doris "Irene" Waddell.

Irene will be dearly missed by her husband of 50 years William "Bill" Waddell, her children William "Joe" Waddell, Robert "Bobby" Waddell and Charlena Gauthier, as well as her daughters-in-law Kristine and Lois, and son-in-law Derek.

She will also be missed by her 8 grandchildren: Ricky, Christopher, Natalie, Johnny, Kyle, Sierra, Faith, and Emma and her 5 great grandchildren Hayden, Tyler, Jeremiah, Jason and Jonah.

 

Coffa LuciaCOFFA, Lucia - (January 26, 1937 - October 1, 2017) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucia in Toronto at the age of 80.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Pasquale.

Loving mother of Mino (Sandra), Fortunata (Fern), Anthony (Marijke) and Carmela (Dan). Proud grandmother of Michael, Giulia, Samantha, Natalie, Adam, Vania, Joseph and Stefan. Lucia also leaves behind her brother Leonardo Ruccia.

 

Keery JohnKEERY, John Thomas - (March 5, 1943 - October 1, 2017) - It is with great sadness we announce his peaceful passing in his 75th year at Credit Valley hospital after a long battle with cancer with his family by his side.

Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Cheryl Keery, sons Ryan (Steph), Michael (Jenna) and daughter Kristin (Terry Turkleson), Poppa J to Gavin, Hayden, Maggie and Moose.

He will be sadly missed by his brother Ray and family.

John was a Teacher with the Toronto District School board and retired in 1997.

 

Yanqui RafaYANQUI, Raphael Sanchez 'Rafa' - On Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 after a long battle with lung fibrosis, in his 72nd year.

Rafa, beloved husband of Romaine, loving father of Candice, (Peter), Raphael Jr, (Tracey), Natalie (predeceased), and Anthony. Loving Grandpa to Victoria and Ethan.

Beloved Uncle to many.

 

Gothe GuntherGOTHE, Gunther - A humble giant of a man, Gunther Gothe of Georgetown, Ontario passed away at Milton District Hospital on May 9, 2017 in his 89th year.

Ulrich Hermann Ernst Gunther Gothe was born on July 11, 1928 in Ruedersdorf, Germany. After overcoming tremendous odds as a child and young adult, Gunther pressed on, met and married the love of his life Liselotte and trained as a Master Radio Technician in Germany. They then immigrated to Canada in 1957.

Gunther eventually became a Professional Engineer in Canada where he worked at Canadian National Telecommunications for most of his career, gaining considerable expertise in microwave and satellite communications technology. He also taught electronics courses at college. Upon his retirement, he represented Canada at numerous conferences of the International Standards Organization around the world.

 

Park KennethPARK, Kenneth William - Ken passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to complications related to a battle with brain cancer on February 4, 2017.

Ken was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on February 17, 1932, son of the late James Park of Glasgow, Scotland and Clarice Middleton of Lancashire, UK.

He left this world just two weeks shy of his 85th birthday.

Ken was predeceased by his wife and love of his life Ernestine (née Curotte, April 22, 1934 - June 3, 1995) and brother, Allan James (July 3, 1929 - April 22, 1997).

 

Park JungHeePARK, JungHee  - Died peacefully on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at home at the age of 51 after living courageously with cancer for a year.

After finishing graduate studies in theology at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea, she worked with labourers marginalized in the process of the industrialization of the country through Sandol (Living Stone) Presbyterian Church and Cultural Centre for eight years.

After immigrating to Canada and preparing for ministry through the Centre for Christian Studies, she was commissioned as a Diaconal Minister and settled into Fingal United Church in 2005. While working with that congregation, she began a program toward a Doctorate in Theology at the Toronto School of Theology in 2008.
