Thomson RonTHOMSON, Ron - (October 14, 1936 - March 8, 2017) -

His journey began in Hazel Dell, Saskatchewan on October 14, 1936. His first job was as a truck driver in Manitoba. He finished his career at Standard Products/Cooper Standard.

He took the train to Union Station in Toronto and quickly met the love of his life, Marj. They married on November 30, 1957 in Alderwood and recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. They began their family.


Ritchie JackRITCHIE, John 'Jack' - Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2017 at Ian Anderson House in Oakville.

He is mourned by his loving wife Dorothy, brother Jim, children John and his wife Sylvie, Cindy and her husband Brian, Andrea and her partner Joey, Gregory and his wife Diona, and Robert and his wife Maria Cristina, nephew Paul, grandchildren Harvey, Nicole, Tyler, Jean-David, Caroline, William, Chelsea and Layla, and great granddaughter Isabel.

A former Montreal businessman who later joined the public service in the field of international development, he was a longtime member of PROBUS, the Oakville Garden Club, and St. Jude’s Anglican Church in Oakville.


Visschedyk PhyllisVISSCHEDYK, Phyllis (nee Bott) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Phyllis Visschedyk (nee Bott) on Tuesday, March 8, 2017 at Simcoe Hospice in Barrie.

Born June 1, 1947, in Ormstown, Quebec, Phyllis was much loved and cherished by her beloved husband, John, of 21 years.

She was a proud and dedicated mother (and mother-in-law) of Scott (Cynthia), Patricia (T.J.), Richard (Nicole), caring and loving grandmother of Kristen, Rachel, Ryan, Nathan, Jessica, Kayla, Katrina, Brianna, Bryce, Evan, Corey, Kimberly and great grandchild, Neaveh. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy (George), Myrna (Bill), Shirley and brother, Garry(Nancy) and predeceased by her parents Ruby and Willis Bott.


RANALLI, Nancy - (February 28, 1958 ~ March 8, 2017) - Surrounded by love, Nancy passed away on March 8, 2017.

Nancy was a bright light in a sometimes dark world. Preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Guerino, Nancy will be remembered by her many friends and extended family for her kindness and compassion, and her amazing (and sometimes off-beat) sense of humour.

Through her work, Nancy touched many lives, and sincerely worked to make the world a better place.


Stadnyk LarrySTADNYK, Lawrence Joseph 'Larry' - Age 74, passed away on Wednesday March 8, 2017 in Oakville, Ontario.

Larry was born on June 21, 1942 in New Westminster, British Columbia to Leo Stadnyk and Katherine (Omichinski) Stadnyk. Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jo (Dey) Stadnyk of 45 years. They were married in British Columbia on October 7, 1972 and moved to Toronto to start their family.

He will be dearly missed by his children: Sarah Stadnyk, Kristy Stadnyk (Paul Mark) and Kate (Stadnyk) Lawson (Jeff Lawson), grandchildren: Darcy, Isabella and Connor, Dogs :Leah and Stella and Grand-dogs: Amelia and Delilah, along with extended family members in Canada and California.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Klaas (1993) and daughter Joanne (2005). Loving mother to Frank (Carol), Ernie, Sandra, and Sherry (Moe).

Cherished grandmother to Tracey, Bryan Jr., Chris, Jennifer, Jeffrey, and Kerri. Proud great-grandmother of eight and great-great grandmother of one. Henny will be dearly missed by extended family and friends.

FORD, Mary Ann - Passed away peacefully at Allendale on March 7, 2017, in her 76th year.

Daughter of the late Gordon and Cyllvia Irene Ford. Sister of the late Neil Ford and the late Norma Wrigglesworth. Aunt to Donna (deceased), Howard, Lisa, Mark and John.

Mary Ann was a 49 year resident of Allendale, known for her volunteering in the Tuck Shop, her love of cats, crocheting and bingo. She will be sadly missed by both staff and residents at Allendale.


Ford TomFORD, Thomas William 'Tom' - (August 2, 1956 – March 7, 2017) - Tom was a fighter, but after living with lung cancer for three years, he succumbed to his illness.

A very proud Toronto firefighter for 37 years, Captain Ford’s love of “the job” was readily apparent to all who knew him. He was particularly pleased that it made him aware of Camp BUCKO (Burn Camp for Kids in Ontario) where he volunteered as a camp counsellor and on the board of directors.

Additionally, Tom worked part time at The Fire Department Employees Credit Union for several years where he met Judy (Snyder), his longtime partner and best friend. Tom loved and is much loved by Judy and their furry “daughter” Haby.

McIVER, Matthew - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew John McIver, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the young age of 53.

Matthew battled a rare cancer with great courage, determination, faith and hope for almost four years. He will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife Tracy, his beloved sons Lewis and Joshua and step-children Braedon and Kendra. He was so proud of his beautiful blended family.
