For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Beloved husband of Bernadette. Cherished father of Paul (Charity), Mark (Joanna), Teresa (Ramkrishna) and Matthew. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren.

Loved brother of Norma Franchitti of Italy and family.

 

ROWE-GOOSSENS, Ada Louise - Louise said her final goodbyes on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at the Brantford General Hospital.

Louise is survived by her loving and caring husband, Rene Goossens, of 37 years; and her two beautiful daughters; Terri-Jean Davidson-Dewey, of Niagara Falls and Kelli-Ann Davidson, of Delhi. Grandmother of Mathew and Nathan Dewey, Jennifer, Michael and Selina Green.

Predeceased by her parents Bill & Tessie Rowe (Moore). Survived by her brother, Bill Rowe (Nancy Rowe-Hedly) and step-son Christopher Goossens.

 

Cooke AlmaCOOKE, Alma May - (1911 – 2017) -  

Passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at the Chester Village Long-Term Care Facility at the age of 106.

Alma was the devoted wife of the late Alfred Walter Cooke for 69 years. The cherished mother of Marilyn Joyce Waller and Walter John Cooke, beloved Nana of Shannon Waller (Bruce Green) and Julia Waller (James Lewis). Doting Great Nana of Madison and Charlotte Green and Vivienne Lewis.

 

Dragisic NicoleDRAGISIC, Nicole - It is with great sadness we announce the tragic passing of Nicole Dragisic of Hamilton ON, in her 38th year on Monday October 16, 2017.

Lovingly remembered by her mother June McIntosh, parents Hilda and Nikola Dragisic and Stanley McIntosh. 

Loving sister to Jason (Joanne), Crystal (Omar), Lisa, Jantal (Al) and Steven. Mostly remembered by her children Brieann, Alisea, Chyann, Dakota and Kylynn.

 

Sartor FrancisSARTOR, Francis George - Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph's Villa on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the age of 82.

Predeceased by his parents Serio and Marcelline. Cherished brother of Elma Sartor, and Amelia Ritter (the late Edwin). He will be dearly missed by his nephew James Ritter, his wife Liz and their children Zachary, McKenna, and Julianna.

Frank retired from the Otis Elevator Company, where he made many life-long friends. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, camping and was a life-long member of the Y.M.C.A. in Hamilton.

 

Cobb DavidCOBB, David John - Passed away at home surrounded by family on October 16, 2017 in his 67th year.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Donna of 42 years.

Loving father of Stephanie (Jon) Fournier, and Lindsay (Sean) Cline, and proud grandfather to Desmond and Lylah. Deeply missed by his mother, Norma.

David was a member of U.A. Local 67, had served as Trustee, and always looked back fondly on his time with the Pigsburgh Pirates of Dundas.

 

Pichler SonjaPICHLER, Sonja - January 20, 1949 – October 14, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sonja Pichler announce her sudden passing on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the age of 68.

She will be deeply missed by her siblings Walter (Mayya) Pichler, Silvia Dueregger and Karin (Karl) Buchinger. Loving aunt to Marco Ziery, Patrick Pichler, Daniel Pichler and Kerstein Buchinger.

Sonja shared a very close bond with her cousins Eric (Pamela) Skoryk, Ursula Skoryk, Ioannis (Maria) Trivas, Rick (Lisa) Skoryk, Larry (Carole) Durante, Gregg Skoryk and Eric Skoryk.

 

DOWDY, Raymond Patrick - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the age of 71.

Beloved husband to Linda (nee Young) for 50 years. Cherished father to Tim (Dale) and Shawn (Colleen). Proud grandfather to Shane and Dylan.

Ray will also be missed by his brothers Richard and Ron, as well as many more extended family members and friends.

Loving father to his daughter-in-law Gayle and his sons’ Doug (Debbie), Eric (Susan) and Norm (Jan). Dear grandfather to his 9 grandchildren and his many great-grandchildren.

KRICK, Helen Josephine (nee Smart) - Peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton, on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in her 94th year.

Predeceased by her loving husband George (2011) of 64 years, son Brian (2005) and daughter-in-law Barb (2017).

Loving mother of Martha Huffman (Drew), Dianne Bender (Bill) and Joan Cranston (Doug). Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Brent (Ryan) and Peter (Carolyn) Huffman, Michael (Laura) and Brian (Julie) Bender, Krista (Justin) Laposi and James (Melissa) Cranston, and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Ethan, Kensington, Abigail, Charlotte, Milly, Harvey and Franklin.
