For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Loving father of Angela, Rachel and David Cope.

Dear son of Irene Tate and the late Thomas Cope. Rick will be sadly missed by Maria Cope, his brothers and sisters and by his aunt Wendy Cope and their families.

Butera GerlandoBUTERA, Gerlando 'Gerry' - Born to Carmela and Calogero on June 1, 1933 in Montaperto, Sicily, Gerlando passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018 with his family by his side.

Gerlando left Italy at the age of 18 to work in the coal mines of Belgium before immigrating to Canada in 1956 where he worked in construction before finding employment at Stelco and retiring after 30 years of service in 1994.

Gerlando has now joined his wife Pasqualina (2004) in God's paradise. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Elisa and son-in-law Mark. Gerlando is the most adored Nonno of his "favourite" granddaughter Julia, who was his pride and joy.

Loving wife of Terry for 27 years. Cherished mother of Shawna (Adam). Beloved grandma of Ruby.

She has been reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years, Bill Kitchen.

EIVERS, Chris - July 26, 1956 – June 21, 2018

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Chris Eivers on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

Chris leaves his beloved wife Margaret who was his rock solid support throughout his illness and all of their life together. He will be greatly missed by his children, of whom he was so proud: Jake Eivers (Reanne), Nathan Eivers, Charlotte Eivers, and Jenna McMahon, and by his cherished granddaughter Quinn Eivers. 

Mooney LorraineMOONEY, Lorraine 'Lou' Mary - After a courageous battle with kidney disease, Lorraine reunited with her beloved husband John “Moon” on June 21st 2018.

Beloved sister of Gary Rowley. Loving sister in law of Jackie (Pat) Wilson, Kathie (the late Vic) Rosser, Helen (Carm) Donato, Mike (Krys) Mooney. Caring aunt to many nieces and nephews and her great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, William and Irene Rowley, her brother Lanny, and her sister Karen. Special thanks to her neighbours Pat and Len for their loving care.

Family gatherings will not be the same without her famous layered jello.

PFIZENMAYER, Irmgard - On the first day of summer June 21, 2018 and reunited with the love of her life “Papsi” (September 18, 2015).  At the age of 92, Irmgard gave her final “thumbs up”.

Loving Mother to Linda Kraft and Joanne DaCosta (Paul) and much loved Omi to Gregory (Alisha), Jamie-Lynn (Eric) and Adam.  Great Omi to Paieton and Bentley.

Survived by dear friend Floyd, by children Barbara, David (Pauline), Larry (Gayle), Sheldon, Shari (Chris) Slack. Also grandchildren Brandi, Derek, Webby, Tyler, Ashley & Shaun, great-grandchildren Hunter & Ariana.

Sister of Ross Bingelman, sister-in-law of Doris & Lloyd Mulkins. Also survived by several nieces, nephews & cousins. 

SMITH, Carol Dorothy (Nee: Weeks) - Passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice - Hankinson House on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the age of 73.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of over 54 years, Ken Smith. Caring mother of Julie (Chris) Blank and Brad (Andrea) Smith. Very proud Grandma of Braedon, Mackenzie and Owen Blank and Harrison and Georgia Smith; all of Brantford.

WILLOWS – William John “Bill” - It is with sad hearts that the family of William John Willows announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday June 21, 2018 at his home in Roswell, Georgia.

Gregoire MarcGREGOIRE, Marc - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Marc on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Brantford General Hospital in his 56th year.

Beloved husband of Susan Gregoire for 29 years. Much loved and cherished father of Alyssa and Brianna Gregoire and will be greatly missed by his furry companion Colby.
