BUCHANAN, Leanora 'Lea' - Earned her wings in the early morning hours at the Juravinski Hospital on September 10, 2016, with close friends by her side.

She was predeceased by husband, John Buchanan and by her parents, Doris and Harold Stapley.

Lea will be forever cherished by sister, Helen, brother-in-law, John and nieces Maggie and Jaclyn McDougall.

'Team Lea' which included many loving friends, will miss her immensely.

Visitation will take place at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, Hamilton, on Friday, September 16 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A memorial service honouring Lea's life will be held at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, 865 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton on Saturday, September 17 at 11 a.m..

Special thanks goes to Lea's friends and colleagues at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre for their love and support over the past few years. Dr. Hirte, Nurse Hilda, Deb Evans and Dr. Junaid were also steadfast supporters of Lea and helped make her valiant journey a little easier.

Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Hamilton SPCA or another animal welfare charity of your choice.
