Grahovac MaryGRAHOVAC, Mary Catherine - The family of Mary Majerovich Grahovac announce with great sadness that she passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 17th, 2016.

Mary, 84, was a devoted mother to her daughters, Jo Ann Majerovich, Janie Withers and Mary-Ann Grahovac, and her sons-in-law, William McIver, Jr. and John Withers.  She raised three daughters as a hard working single mom.

She was a loving "Babi" to her grandchildren, Emily and Mathew Withers, and a doting "Teta Mary" to her nieces and nephews, Michael Pelino, Lori Brnjac, Joey Pelino and Johnny Mataya, and their partners and children.

She is survived by her two sisters and their husbands, Fina and Louie Pelino, and Katie and Johnny Mataya, whom she held very dear.

She is predeceased by her cherished parents, Joe (Joja) and Iva (Ikica) Majerovich.

Family brought Mary the greatest joy.  She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family and friends.  She believed that there was enough room at any dinner table for one or two, or twelve more people!

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Drs. Neema, Bender, and Datema; and the staff of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.  The staff of Albright Manor deserve extra special recognition for the many kindnesses they gave Mary and their compassionate care.  She was truly happy at Albright because of them – and bingo!  And last, but definitely not least, a heartfelt thank you to the Grimsby Seniors Centre where they encouraged "Queen Mary" to stretch her wings and rule the roost.

The family will receive friends at Markey Dermody Funeral Home on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow.
