Williamson NormaWILLIAMSON, Norma Pauline - Peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 8, 2016.  Norma (nee Stire) Williamson of Jarvis, in her 87th year. 

Beloved wife of Drew for 64 years.  Dear mother of Debbie Williamson of Edmonton, Alan Williamson of Jarvis and Eric and his wife Rusty of Vanderhoof, B.C. 

Norma was predeceased by grandson Dustin Williamson (1989) and sister Doreen (Jim) Doughty.  Sister-in-law of Joan Ionson (Late Bill) of Simcoe. 

Norma played a very important role in the life of the community of Jarvis in many ways.  Norma along with Drew and  her sister Doreen and husband James began the business of Doughty  Williamson in Jarvis in 1950 and for many years worked alongside her husband Drew doing all the secretarial work for the firm.

Norma's strong faith in her Lord was exemplified as she served in many aspects of church life at Knox Presbyterian Church, particularly as a choir member for 60 years.  Her involvement in the Jarvis Lions Club was also important to her as she worked with the many Lady Lions, lending her voice in the original Lady Lions Sextet at the annual Jarvis Lions 'Minstrel' Show.  

She was a valued member of the West Haldimand General Hospital Auxiliary for many years being one of the original members of the Auxiliary. 

Friends are invited to call at Cooper Funeral Home, Jarvis, on Wednesday 2-4   6-8 p.m. 

Funeral Service for Norma will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Jarvis on Thursday at  11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow. 

Donations to W.H.G.H. Auxiliary, the Jarvis Lions (Benevolence) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
