ANDREATTA, Guerino (Jerry) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jerry at St. Peter's Hospital on Maplewood on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the age of 88.

Beloved husband of Stella (Gawlik) of 66 years of marriage. Loving father of Jerry (Maria), Tom (Sue) and Jim. Caring grandfather of David and Wendy Andreatta, Kristina and Nick Obsurn, Angela Clark, Andrea Andreatta, Joey Lynne Andreatta (Anthony) and Cole Andreatta (Leah). Great-grandfather of Lily, Ben, Owen, Lucas, Nolan, Jesse, Myah and Kinsley.

Predeceased by his parents Valentino and Emma (Beraldo), and his in-laws Walter and Mary (Stempien) Gawlik.

Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Dinah and the late Sam Gatto, and Vilma and the late Dino Tessaro and beloved brother-in-law of the late Amelia and John Stasila as well as the late Morris and Joan Gawlik. Jerry will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jerry was a devoted member of the YMCA Heritage Club, Venetian Club of Hamilton and the Sons of Italy. Jerry, a proud Brightsider lived his life fully and with enthusiasm always looking for the next challenge. Jerry, along with many other volunteers was instrumental to the growth of Stoney Creek Minor Sports, he was the recipient of Stoney Creek Sports Citizen of The Year in 1968.

Jerry was an accomplished businessman, entrepreneur and founder of Dura Chemicals LTD.

A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital, and St. Peter's Hospital on Maplewood, and a special thank you to the VON (Karen).

Visitation at Friscolanti Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
