Blazak MichaelBLAZAK, Michael Paul - Peacefully passed away at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the age of 80.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary.  Loving and cherished father of Melissa Blazak.

He will always be loved and missed by Kay Boodlal, Maria and her daughter Christina Gianiotis, whom he thought of as daughters, and Rudy, the family poodle, who he loved to play footsies with. 

When he was young, he left school at 14 and worked in the local cotton and pipe mills to help support his mother.  After he married he attended night school at McMaster University and studied Metallurgy where he graduated top of his class.

He was an employee of Dofasco and retired after 32 years of dedicated service.

An avid hockey fan, Mike played until he was 71.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, Hamilton, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Roman Catholic Church (corner of Nash Road and Barton Street) on Thursday, October 13th at 9 a.m. Entombment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bob Kemp Hospice or the Wellwood Centre would be appreciated by the family.
