Mattys JohnMATTYS, John Henry - Died peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the age of 87.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret Bryant. Survived by his wife Mary Fraser. Loving father of John (Nancy) and Brian (Kim). Step-father of Janet (Hazel), Alison (Sabine), and Andrew. Cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Bill (Nancy) and their family. Jack will always be loved and dearly missed by Kelly and Sean.

He was a long term member of the Hamilton Men Teachers Choir, a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Brigadoon painting group. 

His career was spent with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board where he was a well-respected teacher and then principal.  After retirement, he loved spending time at the family cottage in Muskoka.

Visitation at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1907 King St East, Hamilton on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of a Service of Remembrance at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
