Miljan StjepanMILJAN, Stjepan (Steve) - Peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 6:30pm in his 75th year it is with great sadness we announce our Stjepan "Steve" was taken from us.

Surrounded by his family at St. Peter's Hospital Stjepan fought to stay with us a little longer. He had a strong and courageous battle with brain lymphoma. Stjepan was born on December 2, 1941 in Slavonija, Croatia.

He will be cherished and deeply missed by his loving wife Carol of 47 years; his sons Darko (Sylvia) and Steven (Christina); and Mali his favourite dog. Stjepan will never be forgotten by his extended family the late Drago (Dragica), Joza (Mila), Vlado (Maja), Zlatko (Christina), Slavica, Danica, Ivanka (Kaco), Zeljko (Gordana); all Kumovi, nephews, nieces and cousins in Ontario, Clevland and Croatia.

Stjepan was always willing to give a helping hand to all those who knew him. He was looked up to by all at Queenston Chev Olds where he enjoyed his career as a long-time employee as a senior mechanic.

His friends will remember all the fond memories at the Dom and on the golf courses in Ontario and Cuba. His neighbors will miss the talks they had when washing his cars and taking Mali for a walk.

We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St. Peter's Hospital and Juravinski Hospital for all their wonderful care and compassion.

Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 9 am.  Interment.

Donations in Stjepan's name can be made to the Croatian National Home for a Youngster's Scholarship and/or Holy Cross Croatian Parish.

"Stjepan, we will never forget your jokes and laughter, we will look to you above for advice and we will honor your memory for the rest of our lives. "
