Donald VirginiaDONALD, T. Virginia -  February 7, 1921 – February 10, 2017

On February 10, 2017 Virginia, 3 days after her 96th birthday, quietly passed away at Anson Place in Hagersville, joining her dear husband John Donald (d. 1997).

Loving mother to Laura Townsend (Michael), Nancy Lynn (Ted), Lisa Donald and Allan Donald (Paula); grandmother to Elgin, Jennifer, Daniel, Patrick, James, Erika, Zachary and Scott and great grandmother to Riley, Colton, Cassidy and Elena. Born to Harriet and Albert Birrell.

Big sister to Adrienne Pollak (d. Paul), Peter Birrell (Trudy) and pre deceased by sisters Beverly Adams (d. Tim) and Alberta Anthony (d. Robbie). 

Virginia was always an active member of her community, being involved in the Women’s Institute, Kinnettes, Community Chest, and the Edinbrgh Square Heritage & Cultural Center.

She became a life member of the Catholic Women’s League and was a long time employee of Domtar. A Special thank you to the kind and caring hands at Anson Place.

Visitation will take place in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Sunday, February, 12, 2017 from 2 –4 and 7- 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s R. C. Church, Caledonia on Monday February 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Haldimand General Hospital or  Caledonia Senior Support would be appreciated.
