Stachyra KathrynSTACHYRA, Kathryn Camille (MSW) - It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn on February 11th, 2017 at the Hamilton General Hospital following a motor vehicle accident on February 6th.

Much loved and cherished daughter of Bob and Sheila Stachyra, beloved sister and best friend of Krista Stachyra, loving niece of Janice Salata (Mark), Donna Robinson, Michael and Morris Stachyra, (Susan), and much loved cousins Aaron Jones (Diana and their lovely child Lila), Phillip Jones, Jessica and Allison (deceased).

She will be greatly missed by her much loved boyfriend Martin and her longtime friends Jessica, Sara and Laura.

Kathryn touched many lives during her all too short a life. She was a truly vibrant and memorable "free spirit" who devoted her life to helping others. With her involvement in charities such as THE LIVING ROCK and HAMILTON PAWS, she worked to improve the lives of young people and homeless animals. She also became a yoga instructor to pass on her belief in the power of yoga to bring serenity.

Kathryn also derived great joy from music and had great enjoyment from singing with her group of friends in the band. She also loved to travel and had wonderful experiences during her year in Australia and also in Europe.

It is impossible to imagine our world without Kathryn. She was so important to all of her loving family and her dear friends. Through Kathryn we know that her spirit lives on in all of us and her example will guide us to support and help each other and all of those in need.

With her dying breath, Kathryn gave the greatest gift of all by donating through Trillium her organ donation to save and improve the lives of others.

We wish to acknowledge and show appreciation for the Hamilton General Hospital ICU staff and particularly the supportive and sensitive care of nurses, Michelle and Chelsea.

God bless you Kathryn and may choirs of angels and the love of your devoted family and loving friends guide you to your rest.

Visitation at Bay Gardens funeral home, Hamilton on Tuesday, February 14th from 2 - 4pm, and from 6 - 8pm.

"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose.
All that we love deeply becomes a part of us"
Helen Keller

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to P.A.W.S - Hamilton.
