Near BettyNEAR, Betty Joan - Died peacefully at home February 22, 2017, (age 83).

Survived by husband Gordon; children David, Susan (and Robert) Burns, Heather; grandchildren Alanna (Geoff Bowes), Stephanie Burns, Jennifer, Michael and Geoffrey Hopkins; great-grandson Noah Bowes; Betty’s brothers Ken (d1949), Ron (d2010) Bill (Carol), Bruce (d 1991), Alec (Margaret), Keith (Shirley), Stuart (Laurel), and their families.

Betty loved her time spent in the garden.

In lieu of sending flowers please consider having some in your own yard or home -- planted or cut flowers as you may desire.

If you are so inclined, make a donation to your favourite charity, or person(s).

Be kind to one another while it is still possible to do so.

A memorial celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 2 pm, March 10th at St. Michael’s Anglican church Parish Hall, 1188 Fennell Ave. East, Hamilton, ON.
