RUSSELL, Donald Keith - Born December 2, 1926 passed peacefully, in the company of family, on March 1, 2017 at 90 years of age.

Affectionately known by family as "Opie", Don was a warm and charismatic gentleman who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

He was predeceased by his treasured wife Barbara (nee Thomson), son Robert Scott, brothers Jack and Bruce. His daughter, Dianne Russell (Paul Haalboom) and grandchildren Collin (Cait), Brad, Adam (Rachael) and Bethany (Tim) and great-grandchildren, Madaleine, Charlotte and Alex were a big source of happiness for Don and Barb along with many nieces and nephews.

Don grew up in Toronto moving to Ward's Island as a teen. He began work at Reed Shaw & McNaught in the mail room but worked his way up to partner before retiring in his 40s to enjoy the good life of family, travel and golf (Donalda, Longboat Key, Brantford). Don and Barb spent many winters in Florida and moved to Ancaster and then Dundas to be close to family.

A celebration of his life will be held on March 15th, at 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Brantford Golf & Country Club, 60 Ava Rd., Brantford. RIP Opie. xoxo.
