Strabac AnneSTRABAC, Anne - Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother left us peacefully on 17 March, 2017 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's.

She was born in Glace Bay Nova Scotia in 1924.

Annie has rejoined her loving husband George who left her and our family too soon in 1991. 

She is predeceased by her parents William and Mary Shynal (Kowalski) and all nine of her siblings, Edward, John, Stella, Wanda, Frances, Arthur, Helen and Mary. 

Annie is survived by her daughters Susan (Charles Westphal, 2009), Nancy (Fred Hudson), Joan (Danny Dominick) and her son Paul (Kerry).

Also survived by her grandchildren Dusty, Tawna (Matt Olinski), Danielle (Tim Hendricks), Belle, Kelsey (Adam Furbacher) , Paul (PJ), Madison,  Jesse and Tyler.  Also her great-grandchildren Chase, Aden, Mila, Vallee, Jonah, Oliver, North, Eliot and Heidi. 

Annie was proud supporter of the C.C.A.S. and foster parented many newborn children who were graciously adopted by many happy families in Ontario. Her cheerful demeanour, spry humour and love for Polish cooking will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Resting at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, Hamilton. Visitation 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on  Tuesday March 21st. Funeral service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday March 22nd. Interment will be held at a later date.
