CIOMMO (nee: Picheca), Giuseppa (Josie, Pina) – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Josie, surrounded by her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the age of 84. 

Reunited with her beloved husband, the late Antonio (2009).  Caring, nurturing, devoted mother of Tonina (Joe) Di Cresce, Jack Ciommo (Jennifer Keresturi) and Nancy (Eddie) Steele.  Very proud nonna of Jennifer, James, Lisa, Christopher, Myah, Sophie, Allie and great nonna of 6 great grandchildren. 

Sister of Prospero (Elena), Iole (Donato), Antonio (Amy), Maria (Mauro), Cesare (Gina), Bruno (Mimmie), Aldo (Madelena) and Donato (Angie) and sister-in-law of Leonardo (Filomena) Ciommo and many others in Italy.  Josie will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. 

She will be remembered for her selfless nature and her unconditional love. 

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff from the BGH, for the compassionate care given to Josie through her final weeks. 

Family and friends will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, Brantford on Friday from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m., with prayers at 2 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.  Entombment to follow. 

If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice appreciated.
