Sante was born April 1, 1933 in Mirano, Venice, Italy.  He emigrated to Switzerland and then to Canada when he was eighteen.

He has proudly called Carlisle, Ontario, Canada his home for the last 57 years.  This is where he built a beautiful home and raised his family with his wife, Maria Annosantini (nee Manzan).  They were inseparable since their marriage in 1961 in Postioma, Treviso.

Sante’s life was characterized by his tireless work ethic.  He was an exceptional role model for his children and grandchildren.  He also led a very healthy life.  Sante lived having never been seriously ill and never had to be in hospital other than to be part of a McMaster University study on healthy octogenarians.
