Ruggi FredRUGGI, Alfred (Fred) - Called home by the Lord, Alfred (Fred) Ruggi died peacefully in his sleep at Shalom Manor in Grimsby on September 11, 2017 in his ninety-first year. 

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of over fifty-nine years, Linda. Fred was the dear father of Jim and Marg Ruggi, Annie-Lynn and Ronn VanAndel, and Jake and Deanna Ruggi, the beloved grandfather of eleven grandchildren and their spouses, and proud great grand-dad to twelve great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his sisters Louise and Fran, and his brother Joe, Fred is survived by his older sister Gilda.

He was a long-time member of Canadian Reformed Churches in Smithville and Hamilton.  Fred spent many years as a sales agent in real estate and at Sears Canada.

The family would like to thank the staff at Shalom Manor for their loving care of our husband and father for the last two years of his life.

  Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 353 Stonechurch Rd E, Hamilton on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m., and 7 – 9 p.m., where a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment will be held prior to the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, at 9:45 a.m.

If desired as expressions of sympathy, donations to Shalom Manor, Grimsby would be appreciated by the family.
