Patrick ArthurPATRICK, Arthur Raymond “Ray” - Born on June 22, 1943, Ray died peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 74 years. 

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Raymond and Nora Patrick (nee Stillwell), and his sister Gail Stone.  He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret (nee Benton).  Dear father of Sherrie Patrick, David Patrick, Julie Traill, Scott Patrick and father-in-law to Tim Traill.  Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Bradley, Mathew, Aidan, and Kiley Traill.  Loved uncle of Peter Stone, Jennifer Stone, and great-nieces Lily, Ava, and Jadyn Gordon. 

Ray was a very successful businessman having enjoyed prominent careers with Sun Life Assurance Company, Avon Products of Canada, and 35 years with Mary Kay Cosmetics Canada holding the position of President and with Mary Kay Inc. U.S.A. holding the position of CAO and then Chairman of International. 

He was a committed community person and was named Mississauga Businessman of the year in 2005, had participated on many Boards including the Canadian Cosmetics and Toiletries Association, the Canadian Direct Sellers Association, the Canadian Look Good Feel Better Foundation, and the U.S. Direct Sellers Association.   He was recognized in the U.S. Heritage Registry of Who’s Who, was a CGA, later recognized as a FCGA as well as a CPA, later recognized as an FCPA.  He was recipient of the Ivan P. Phelan Award which honours individuals who have made significant contributions to the community and the direct selling industry and he was the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award. 

Cremation has taken place.  Friends may visit with the family at Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home, Waterdown on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 2 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Family Centre.
