BORON, Gertrud - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Gertrud Ilse Boron on Thursday January 4, 2018 at the age of 80.

Beloved wife of 60 years to Eugene John Boron . Loving mother of  Eugene Jr. (Cathy), Deborah (Dave), Michael (Tia), Edward (Maggie), Richard (Roxane) and Christine Morrow (Gordon). Predeceased by her parents Frieda Kowalik and Robert Illig , her son John Edward Boron and her grandson Charles Mathew Boron. Survived by her brothers Lother (Roswitha) Illig, Hans Illig and Werner (Janice) Illig. She will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the "Thorpe Brothers' Funeral Home and Chapel", Brantford on Sunday January 14th  from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of her life will be held in the chapel  on  Monday January 15th at 11:00 am. Interment. 
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Gertrud Ilse Boron . Loving father of  Eugene Jr. (Cathy), Deborah (Dave), Michael (Tia), Edward (Maggie), Richard (Roxane) and Christine Morrow (Gordon). Predeceased by his wife Gertrud Ilse Boron and his parents Mikolaj Boron and Marianna Gesikowska, his son John Edward Boron and his grandson Charles Mathew Boron. Survived by his sister Josephine, and will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the "Thorpe Brothers' Funeral Home and Chapel", Brantford on Sunday January 14th  from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of his life will be held in the chapel on Monday January 15th at 11:00 am. Interment.
