Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Head) for over 71 years. Loving father of Timothy (Karen), Stephen (Trish), David (Sandy), and Christina Slater. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and their spouses and great-grandfather of eight.

Dear brother of Grace (Don) Perkins and brother-in-law of Stirling Cantelo. Predeceased by his sisters Betty and Mary and brother Tom.


LALIBERTE, Elizabeth "Betty" - On Monday, November 6, 2017 at Parkview Nursing Home in her 85th year.

Survived by her children Michael, Mary Anne, Daniel and their spouses, as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sobolewski JosephSOBOLEWSKI, Joseph Adam - February 17, 1945 – November 6, 2017

Surrounded by the love of his family in his 73rd year.  Loving husband of Carole for 47 years.  Adored father of Lisa (Tom), Kelly, Patrick (Ashley) and predeceased by his infant son Marty.  Loving "Papa" and greatest fan to Audra, Blake, Rhea, Gage, Rory and Russell.  Son of the late Adam and Margaret Sobolewski and loving brother to Emilia the late Virginia and the late Marlene.

Joe was employed at Stelco Fasteners and Genfast for 32 years. 

"Uncle" Joe was loved by many.  He loved his cottage life in Turkey Point and all his friends that would visit.  Special mention to his best friends Johnny, Leora and Terry who Joe loved and adored.  In keeping with Joe's wishes of never being forgotten, please raise a glass of whiskey and repeat the same story several times.

Beloved mother to Douglas Mais and his wife Arlene. Cherished Grandma to Tianna. Dear sister to Cecil (Ruby), Joyce (the late Lewin), Larry (Grace), Winston (Anita), Hope (Albert), Ivor, Judith, Colin, Lorna, Allan and Carl and predeceased by siblings Owen, Elaine and Kathleen.

She will be dearly missed by all her extended family and friends.

Peggy was a longtime member of St. Michael's Anglican Church.


NELSON, Philip 'Phil' - On Sunday November 5, 2017, after a very courageous battle with cancer, and surrounded by his family, Philip Melville Nelson met his Saviour face-to-face. 

Meeting him in Heaven were his precious wife Kay, his parents Mel and Glenna, his brother John, his sister-in-law Cindy and his nephew Brian. 


CHAPMAN, Dawn Marie (nee Mitchell) -  Suddenly, entered into rest on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, in her 56th year.

Beloved wife to Douglas for 31 years. Loving mother of Nikki. Dear sister to Carol Sumner (Bob) Patti Broughton (Paul) and predeceased by siblings Denise Giroux and Billy Mitchell. Dawn is also survived by her many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.


BOGNAR, Anna (nee Hosszufaludi) -  Passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2017 with Rita and Frank at her side at the age of 97 years. Anna was born in Hungary on November 22, 1919.

Lovingly remembered by her children Rita, and Frank, grandson Christopher, and predeceased by her husband Frank Sr., and daughter-in-law Roberta (nee Morassutti).  Anna will be sadly missed by Peter and Barbara Morassutti and the extended Morassutti family. 


Denike MarilynDENIKE, Marilyn Aileen - Is now resting in God's loving hands.  Went peacefully to sleep on November 5th, 2017 in her 79th year. 

Beloved daughter of Harry and Muriel Denike (deceased).  Dear sister of the late Donald Denike, Helen St. Denis and Leona Couch and their families.  Better known to her nieces and nephews as Aunt Marnie, she will be sadly missed by all three generations of them.  Will also be fondly remembered by many other family members, friends and co-workers. 

As an active member of the community, Marilyn dedicated her life to serving others.  Beginning in her early years as a pediatric nurse to her 65 years of service to Girl Guides of Canada she selflessly gave everything she had to others.

Peacefully with family by her side at the Bob Kemp Hospice, Carmina passed away at the age of 65.

Pre deceased by her husband Michael. Will be missed by her partner Chris Runcieman. Loving mother to Danielle (Vince Leone) and Jennifer (John) Grubich. Adoring nonna to Chiara, Thomas, Chelsey and Emma.

Antonia’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. We will miss her kind and gentle demeanor and her beautiful smile. She was our rock and will be deeply missed by all she touched.

Cherished daughter of Anna Moser and the late Gerald. Loving mother of Gabrielle and Sabrina and their father, John and his daughter, Jolene. Treasured sister of Sylvia(Mark), Judy(Raymond), and Barb. Best friend of Teresa Breau. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Shirley will always be remembered for her care and compassion to her clients and staff at Fabutan, Centennial Pkwy.


Gartley JamesGARTLEY, James Ross - Peacefully with his loving wife Judy by his side, on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017

Ross passed away at the age of 85 years. Beloved father of Laurie (Wendy), Randy (Bev) and Pam (Dave) Marler. Adored stepdad to Tracey (Al) Doughty, Wendy (Kent) Evans, Rob (Brooke) Vokes. Predeceased in 2000, by his wife Lillian (nee Coulson).

Dear brother of Jeanne (Morley) Hood, and predeceased by his brothers Neil and Don (Marg). Ross and Judy shared 16 cherished grandchildren as well as six treasured great-grandchildren.

Ross was a dedicated Stelco worker for many years. Ross and Judy thoroughly enjoyed their golfing trips to Myrtle Beach with their special friends Bob and Joan. They also loved playing cards and dominoes with their family.
