BURNETT, Drew - Of Wooler, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the age of 77.

Born June 26, 1939 in Scotland, Drew came to Canada with his family as a young boy, but maintained great pride in his Scottish heritage.

Drew is predeceased by his parents William and Anne, and his treasured aunt, Jean Carson.

Drew was a devoted husband to Gail (Peters), his wife of 49 years; proud father to Andrea Coon (Michael) of Trenton and Kim of Ottawa; grandfather to Michelle Pinter and Crystal Parent; and “Poppa Drew” to Hayden, Reign, Talon, Tyson, Alex and Brody.

Drew is also survived by his brother Brian (Ruth) of Milton, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Drew was a dedicated public servant in Ottawa for over thirty years and loved sailing, dancing, photography, trivia and crosswords.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church, Glen Miller, 770 Trenton-Frankford Road, Quinte West, Ontario. Reception to follow.
