Smith ClaySMITH, Clayton, "Clay" Alfred - Captain Retired Royal Canadian Air Force, at Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in his 85th year.

Beloved husband of Judith Smith (nee-Daniel, Salter).  

Loving father of Geoffrey Smith (Jamie) and grandchildren; Kirsten and Taylor and step children; Todd Salter (Darrell Jones), David Salter (Gary Pringle) and Janet Salter (Janet Kennedy).

Dear brother of Bonnie Roseborough (late Daniel), Betty Gardiner and Murray Smith (Nancy).

Clay grew up near RCAF Station Centralia, where his life long passion for the Airforce began. After his 37 year career in the Airforce his passion continued to be expressed through his leadership in the Air Cadet Movement and his commitment to the National Air Force Museum of Canada.

The last 16 winters have been spent in the company of dear friends in Destin, Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation commencing from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the National Air Force Museum of Canada, B.G.H. Oncology Department or St. Thomas Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
