Reid DougREID, Douglas Blake - June 4, 1931 - March 21, 2017 - Retired from Ontario Hydro, passed away peacefully.

Survived by his loving wife Norma (nee Bates) and three sons, Bob, Steven and Jeff. A fourth son Terry died in 1975.

Doug’s parents, Reg and Bernice Reid passed away a few years ago after living in Tweed for many years.

Doug’s surviving sisters Sharon Prevost and Beverly Erwin are living in Tweed.

Surviving as well are five grandchildren; Chris, Jenny, Valerie, Lindsay and Bradley.

Doug graduated from Tweed High School (through the back door) to join Ontario Hydro in 1951 where he worked in Generation and Marketing for 36 years with a great group in the “Hydro Family”.

Throughout his life he enjoyed hockey, ball, golf, tennis and boating at the family cottage in Barry’s Bay.

Visitation will be held at the PINECREST VISITATION CENTRE, Ottawa ON on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A remembrance service will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Rd, Kanata, on Monday, March 27, at 11am. Burial at a later date.

In memoriam donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
