Holland LeoHOLLAND, Leo John - Passed away in Unionville on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in his 88th year.

Loving husband of Catherine Bernice and devoted father of David (Jane), Michael (Sheila), Kathleen and Paul (Wendy).

His beloved grandchildren Laura, Maureen, Lianne, Graham, John, Patrick and Nicholas will always remember his humour, friendship and trips to the park.

He will be dearly missed by his sole surviving sibling Sister Kathleen Holland of Antigonish, NS.

Leo was born in Saint John, New Brunswick and then moved with his family to Belleville in 1960 where he served as a dedicated educator for 28 years.

Dad will be remembered for his love of sports, particularly our hockey games in the driveway, as well as the joy we all felt from his singing as a longtime member of the choirs at St. Michael’s and St. Joseph’s.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Amica in Unionville for their attentive care of our father.

Friends are invited to visit at the Burke Funeral Home, Belleville on Sunday, November 12th, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Monday November 13th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) would be appreciated by the family.
