"Mom/Gram, you're the sweetest person we all know. We have all been so blessed to have descended from you, and Dad/Papi too. Your greatest concern has always been for others, even asking caregivers how many more hours they have to work, could you help them, do they have far to drive in the snow, etc., and thanking everyone for absolutely any and everything done for you. You have become famous for your signature statement, "I'm so lucky". One of your biggest gifts to all of us has been recognizing this quality of gratefulness that you have, and being reminded to find gratitude under all circumstances. You are a completely self-less person and have been a wonderful role model for all of us. We're happy you always felt so lucky but in truth, we've been the ones who were lucky. And dying one day after Bob, what is that about? You two were close and somehow that comforts us. We all love you. You will be so missed."
Funeral arrangements for Phyllis and Bob: Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Belleville on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 11am on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Interment at Belleville.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
