Hyde PeggyHYDE, Margaret Jean “Peggy” - On Friday, January 5, 2018, Margaret “Peggy” Hyde passed away with her family at her side, at Quinte Health Care Belleville General, in her 76th year. 

She is survived by her loving husband Ronald, as well as her beloved children Brian (Kelly), Paul (Sherry), Brenda (Yves), and Leonard (Lawrie). 

She will be dearly missed by her exceptionally lucky 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, her brothers Rick (Patricia) and Larry (Sandy), her sister Kathy (Bob), her many nieces and nephews and the Lee family of Madoc. 

Peggy will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, as well as a tireless and passionate leader with the Girl Guides of Canada, where she was known as Wise Owl. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 10 at McConnell Funeral Home, Madoc, from 4-8 p.m. where the funeral service will take place the next day, Thursday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m.  A reception to follow at Madoc Trinity United Church.

Donations in Peggy’s memory can be made to the Girl Guides of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society. 

She will forever be missed for her love and devotion to her family, her dedication to her community, and her infamous Mississippi mud.
