For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Haley CecHALEY, Cecil Stafford - Passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, February 9, 2018 in his 70th year.

Son of the late Adeline and Stafford Haley.

Dearly and deeply loved by his companion Janice Peterson and her sons Kyle and Taylor Marancos.

Ever remembered by his sisters Alice Boudreau (Gerald), Beverley Palmer (Philip), Heather Chapman (Jamie), brother in law Ross Chase and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Predeceased by siblings Ann Haley, Sheila Williams, Mary Chase and James Haley.

Cecil was a friend to many, an avid outdoorsman and lover of live music.

Memorial visitation will be held at the the Burke Funeral Home, Belleville on Tuesday, February 13th from 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 at 2 pm, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Spring inurnment.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
