For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Egan FlorenceEGAN, Florence May - At the Richmond Retirement Residence on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in her 86th year.

Daughter of the late Gladys and Joseph Grimes.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald Charles Egan.

Dear mother to Rick Egan (Kim), Marian Egan, Jeff Egan and Chris Scalf (Dave).

Ever remembered by grandchildren Claire, Tyler, Jessica, Rebecca, Dale, Mitchell and great grandchildren Audrina, Colt and brother Larry Grimes (Jeanne) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by siblings Alice, Margaret, Marion, Mitzi, Mamie, Jimmie and Billie.

Special thanks to all of the staff at the Richmond Retirement Home, also the P.S.W's. from the V.O.N.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at Burke Funeral Home, Belleville on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
