Bowry JimBOWRY, James Gordon 'Jim' - It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of  “Jim” Bowry, on September 19, 2017.

Born in Toronto in 1936 and raised in  Lindsay, life didn’t deal him a great hand. “We didn’t have a pot to piss in,” he would often say, yet his many cute stories of adventures and mischief spoke to a childhood that was rich in many other ways.

A member of the so-called TNT Gang (the Tough Nuts of Town), we will always recount the gang’s top-secret code: The reincarnation of the uncified sufficiency [whatever that means] brings harm to the average cow (???).

He would go on to live in Toronto, where, one December day, a Bell Telephone repairman came to his home and noticed he did not have a Christmas tree. The repairman soon returned with a small tree for him, from which he inferred that Bell might be a decent place to work. He retired from Bell 34 years later.
