For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Glbert EllmoreGILBERT, Ellmore Bruce  - Born in 1915 in Toronto, passed away peacefully at the Caressant Care Nursing Home, Mary Street, on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017.

Ellmore in his 103rd year was predeceased by his beloved wife of 73 years, Winnifred (2009), son-in-law Gilbert Hueser (1993), Robert Slade (2017) and 1 Grandchild.

Survived by his loving children Shirley, Elaine Hueser (Bill Donnell), Ron (Wendy) and John (Maryanne), his 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

 

ANTONIO, Carolyn Ruth (nee Edgar) - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Ross Memorial Hospital after a courageous four-year battle. Carolyn, in her 77th year.

Will be missed by many friends, and cousin Bill (Margarot). Survived by aunts and uncles.

Beloved wife of the late Douglas Watterworth. Loving mother of Ann (Doug Beattie) and beloved grandmother of Sarah (Sam), Lizzie and Douglas.

Cherished daughter of the late Sidney and Jessie Johnston (nee Pope). Loving sister of Bill (Jane). Predeceased by her brothers Jack (Sandra) and Don. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren and many good friends and neighbours.

Langham BillLANGHAM, Bill  - (1930 - 2017) - With heavy hearts but many wonderful memories, we announce Bill slipped away on a sunny December 13th, 2017.

He is survived by his wife Ann, son Paul (Janice) daughter Andrea (James) by his sister Tricia and by his many nieces and nephews here and in England.

Bill was born in Worthing, Sussex and at age 17, he joined the British Merchant Navy, travelling around the world at least 10 times. His proudest achievement was becoming a Chef on the Queen Mary Liner.

His next adventure, after leaving the MN, was to emigrate to Canada (the best country in the world he said) where he met and married Ann. They started their family in Toronto then moved to Bethany in 1974.

Beloved son of the late Robert & Kathleen Burns.

Loving brother of James (Jim) and his wife Linda of Oshawa.

Fondly remembered by his niece Kim and his friends at Parklane Apts. Bob was an avid marksman (rifle).

He enjoyed snowmobiling, photography and his ATV.
