Allan DavidALLAN, David Russell - Passed away peacefully at home in Kinmount on Friday, September 9, 2016 with his family at his side, at the age of 73.

Loving companion of Cathy King.  Dear step-father of Ben King (Tammy), Terry King (Jennifer) and loving grandpa of Emma and Laine. Brother of Jim and predeceased by Marilyn, Tom and by his parents Irene and George Allan.

Fondly remembered by Poppa Joe, friends at the Kinmount Legion, neighbours, family, Mellissa, Ashley and friends.

Prior to retirement Dave worked as a Produce Manager for many years and enjoyed his time as a bar steward.  He often spoke of his fond memories at the Royal True Blue and Orange Orphanage which was his home in his early years.

Friends are invited to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 441, 11 County Road 503, Kinmount on Sunday, September 18th from 1:00 until 3:00 pm.  A Private Family Service will follow. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial Donations to the Sick Kids Hospital, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 441 or the Local Food Bank would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home, Minden.
