Somers MichaelSOMERS, Michael James - Passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Ross Memorial. Michael was only 58 years old.

During his 12 days in hospital Michael was surrounded by loved ones and shared special moments with each one.

Michael was the beloved brother of Carol Smith, Ruth Phillips, Harry and David Somers. A loving Uncle to Chris Empey, Michelle Pounder, Barbara Somers-Lapointe, Barbara Smith, Susie Smith, Eliscia Somers, James Somers.

Predeceased by his parents Robert J Somers and Beverly Jean Somers (Morine). Michael will be missed by many friends, old and new.

Always a gentleman who was elegant in speech and manner, he worked for over 30 years as an Insurance Agent, helping many families and businesses. Michael’s hobbies of music (Saxophone playing) Photography and sports kept him happy. Michael like to say, "it is a good day when you help another smile."

We would also like to thank all the nurses at Ross Memorial, who helped to make Michael comfortable during his time there.

A celebration of life and reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 238, 23 Veterans Way, Fenelon Falls on Tuesday November 29th at 1:oop.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Ross Memorial would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted with Jardine funeral home.
