Higgins ClaraHIGGINS, Clara (nee LaPorte) - Resident of Haliburton, Ontario. Peacefully with her family by her side, Clara went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Monday morning, November 14, 2016 in her 74th year.

Beloved wife and best friend of Howard, her one and only love for over 52 years. Loving mother of Patty (Doug Stevens), Gayle (Bo Yurkiv) all of Mississauga and Brenda (Chris Moffatt) of Powassan. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan and Billy.

Dear sister of Ed (Lynda), Don (Audress), Dave (Marilyn), Jim (Carolyn), Doris and Barb (Ken Nesbitt). Predeceased by her brother Frank and sister Diane.

Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, her sister-in-law Doris LaPorte, family and her many friends.

Clara enjoyed cooking, baking and most of all her family.

Friends may call at the Haliburton Community Funeral Home, Haliburton on Thursday evening, November 17th from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday morning, November 18th at 11 o'clock. (Visitation from one hour prior). Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Haliburton. Reception to follow at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Highlands Community Pregnancy Care Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
