Pike LonzelPIKE, Lonzel "Lon" -(Proud Veteran WWII) - Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday, January 30, 2017.

Lon, in his 95th year, was the beloved husband of Sophie for 64 years.

Much loved father of his daughters Cathy and Barb and her husband Doug and loving grandfather of Stephanie and her husband Dan and great grandfather of Ben. He will also be missed by his son Lonny, wife Pat, his grandchildren Wendy, Christopher (deceased), Mathew and Jennifer and his 5 great grandchildren.

Lon touched the lives of many people in his professional and personal lives.

He will be remembered as a honorary director of Lindsay & District Sports Hall of Fame and for his service in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve
.

Friends and family are invited to attend a "Celebration of Lon's Life" at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, Branch #67, 12 York St., N., Lindsay (705-324-2613) on Saturday, March 4 from 1-4 P.M.

A private memorial burial will take place in the spring at Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough.

If desired, memorial donations to the Lindsay & District Sports Hall of Fame would be appreciated and may be arranged through the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill St., Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205).
