Hodgkiss RoyHODGKISS, Dr. William 'Roy' — (March 6, 1920 - March 10, 2017) 

Passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Friday March 10, 2017. Dr. Hodgkiss of Toronto and Bobcaygeon in his 98th year.

Sadly missed by the love of his life, Joan, children David (Sue), Robert (Sandy), grandchildren Sarah, Davey (Adrianne), Kevin (Alyssa) and Steven, great-grandsons Colton and Hudson and the rest of his extended family.

Predeceased by his parents Albert and Sarah and his wife Jean.

Born and raised in the Beach, Roy attended Malvern Collegiate. He graduated Meds 4T3 and served as a Medical Officer in Holland until the end of the war. Thereafter he practiced as a GP until retirement in 1982.

Since then Roy and Joan have enjoyed a full and active life together until his recent illness.

The family would like to thank all those who have assisted during these past few weeks. We are especially grateful for the exceptional care provided by the staff at Ross Memorial Hospital.

Visitation at Hendren Funeral Home (Monk Chapel), Bobcaygeon on Wednesday, March 15th at 11 a.m. Service to follow at 1 p.m., followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Bobcaygeon Seniors Centre or Ross Memorial Hospital.
