Macklem JohnMACKLEM, John Robert - (Resident of Head Lake, Ontario) - Peacefully on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2017 in his 71st year with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Darlene Macklem (nee McEldon) for nearly 50 years. Loving father of Rob of Kirkfield and Ann (Korey Rooth) of Trent Lakes. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Anita (Cody), Robert, Brian, Tye, Kylie, Kaitlyn and by his great grandchildren Portter and Cody.

Predeceased by his brothers William and Gordon. Also lovingly remembered by his niece Heather.

John was the former and last Warden of Victoria County and former Reeve of Laxton, Digby and Longford Townships. He served for many years. John had an insatiable thirst for research and history.

Friends are invited to call at the CAMBRIDGE UNITED CHURCH, 61 Cambridge St. N., Lindsay, Ontario on Friday morning, March 24th for a Celebration of John's life at 11 o'clock. Reception to follow in the Church Hall.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 6644 Hwy. #35, Coboconk.
