WORDRAGEN, Wilhelmina 'Paula' (nee Van Hoof) - Age 94, of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2017, with family by her side at Case Manor retirement home in Bobcaygeon.
Paula was born on February 28, 1923, in Mariahout, The Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and children in 1953, settling in Petawawa, Ontario.
She resided in several locations in Ontario, and in 2011 settled in Bobcaygeon. She enjoyed the small town atmosphere of Bobcaygeon, spent many hours listening to concerts in the park, and sitting by the locks at Port 32 watching the boats go through. Shopping, knitting, playing cards, and Bingo on Wednesday nights, were her favourite pastimes.
She is survived by her daughters, Marianne Cady (Brian), Helma Wordragen, Harriet Berg, Melissa Wordragen (Auralee), grandchildren, Jim, Kim, Carolynn, Melanie, Jennifer, and Elizabeth and ten great grandchildren.
Paula was predeceased by her loving husband Antonius Wordragen, son Anthony Wordragen, son-in-law John McDermott, grandson Steve Thomas, parents Pere and Wilhelmina Van Hoof, and ten siblings.
Funeral services will be held on April 26th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 18 Need Street, Bobcaygeon, Ontario. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at Case Manor retirement home, 28 Boyd Street, Bobcaygeon.
