Blyth IreneBLYTH, Irene Gertrude (née Gould) - (April 11, 1921 – May 9, 2017) - Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Ross Memorial Hospital in her 97th year.

Irene was the beloved wife of the late Jack Blyth, formerly of Oak Ridges.

Cherished mother of Ken (Joan) of Holland Landing and Linda Cook (the late Douglas) of Lindsay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren John Blyth (Wendy), Ken Blyth (Ann), Gary Blyth, David Blyth (Carmen), Cheryl Raven (Shawn), D.J. Cook (Rebecca) and Jodi Cook (Mike Smoke), 21 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Irene leaves behind many nieces nephews her sister Elda Sedore (Louis) and Aubrey (Helen). Predeceased by siblings Nelly, Ken, John, Grace, Bill, Morris and Robert.

Irene was involved in the family business of real estate and insurance with her husband. Irene was a founding member of St. Paul’s United Church, in Oak Ridges and an active member of the U.C.W.

Visitation will be held at Celebrations (35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay) on Friday, May 12th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Celebrations on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.

If desired, a memorial donation to the Gideon’s Bible Society or the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted with Mackey funeral home.
