Larry was the beloved husband of Yvonne (nee Stillman).

Much loved father of Michelle (Wayne Hamilton) of Lindsay and Michael (Leandra Tromans) of Cameron. Treasured grandfather of Jesse, Isaak, Chloe and Tyler.

Predeceased by his brothers Paul and Billie and by his infant sister.

Crowder MauriceCROWDER, Maurice Abraham - Maurice passed away in his 90th year at the Ross Memorial Hospital Lindsay on Thursday May 11, 2017.

Maurice and Marion Rynard would celebrate 66 years married in June of 2017. Maurice with the love of his life, Marion enjoyed playing cards, golfing, shooting pool, baseball dancing and above all visiting with family and friends.

His children will miss his laughter, friendship, knowledge and guidance. His stories about farming and driving the bus will always be a part of us. We, his children say goodbye to a “wise old man”; Judith Corneil (Ralph), Joan Fanning (Jim), Brian (Martha), Orville (Gerlinde), Perry (Pauline), Roger (Nancy) Lyndon (Andrea).

Mother of Sydna Stephenson, Susan Jackson, Donna Mitchell, Anne Cowan, Jody Cowan (predeceased), Wayne Cowan and Valerie Veenhof (predeceased) and step-mother of Angelle Lafrance. Survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

 

BURTON, Sgt. Jack Wilfred  - (January 10, 1929 - May 10, 2017) -

Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Jack's hometown of Lindsay, ON, with his family by his side, May 10, 2017.

Survived by his beloved wife Rita and his children Michael (Joy), Susan (Rick) and Kimberley (Brian) and grandchildren Lucas (great-grandson Xavier), Kacey (Michelle) and Clifford (Dana).  Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Lorrainne (James Greensides, dec.) and nieces and nephews.

Jack served in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Fort Nelson Base (1947-1952). He proudly served the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force (1955-1987).

Irene was the beloved wife of the late Jack Blyth, formerly of Oak Ridges.

Cherished mother of Ken (Joan) of Holland Landing and Linda Cook (the late Douglas) of Lindsay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren John Blyth (Wendy), Ken Blyth (Ann), Gary Blyth, David Blyth (Carmen), Cheryl Raven (Shawn), D.J. Cook (Rebecca) and Jodi Cook (Mike Smoke), 21 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Ron was the beloved son of the late Garnet and Ruby Linton.

Treasured father of Julie (Bill) of Peterborough. Much loved grandpa of Brandon and Megan.

Ron will be remembered by his girlfriend Fran. Dear brother of Shelley (Joe) and Gary.

 

Yarnell BillYARNELL, Edward William 'Bill' - Died May 9, 2017 after a long battle with dementia. He passed away peacefully in his 82 year at Victoria Manor, Lindsay.

He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Ann. He leaves behind his two sons, Bill (Debbie) and Keith, and his two granddaughters who he adored, Erin and Becky.

He also leaves behind his sisters Arlene (Bill) and Lois (Robert) and was predeceased by sisters Gail (Kent) and Sharon (Phil). He was uncle to Susie (Glenn), Kerry and Robin (Brooke).

Blackburn KenBLACKBURN, Kenneth George 'Ken' – Merchant Marine during WWII – Peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Lindsay, in his 95th year.

Ken was the loving father of Sharon and her husband Tim Pearson. Cherished grandfather of Tim Jr. (Cassandra), Brianne (Jason), Amanda (Sean) and Jeannine (Tyler); great-grandfather of Thomas-Jay, Chase, Shanna, Haidyn, Cash, Max, Violet, Ellie, Zack, and Alexis; great-great-grandfather of Carrera, and Paisley.

Ken was the beloved son of the late George and Margaret Blackburn. He was the loving husband of the late Allie Pickens (2011) and the late Marion Thomas (1995), and is survived by his former wife Evelyn Miller. Ken will be remembered always by his dear friends Bruce Henry and Stephen Wilson.

HARDY, Mitchell Scott 'Mitch' - At Rest.  Passed away suddenly at home in Haliburton on May 8, 2017 at the age of 62.

Son of the late Harold and Marilyn Hardy.

Survived by his daughters Kristen and Kelly and their families, by his twin sister Kim Albin, brother Steven and by his former wife Wendy. Remembered by his family and friends.

Ross passed away peacefully at the Highland Wood Long Term Care, Haliburton with his devoted and much loved wife Jean (Long) of almost 61 years by his side.

He leaves 2 wonderful daughters, Debra Horne and Dale (Michel) Lafrance, and one son, Albert (Allison). He had 8 grandchildren, Douglas McHattie, Elizabeth Edwards, Miranda Hawkins, Natalie and Nicholas Lafrance, Deianira, Carissa and Alessandra Horne; and 10 great grandchildren, Dustin, Kingsley and Beau McHattie, Ethan, Chloe and Jacob Hawkins, Cameron Edwards, Keelan, Logan and Sophia Horne.

Ross was the only son of the late Roy and Irene Horne. He had 5 sisters, Laura, Grace, Ruth, Beverly and Pauline.

Barb was the beloved wife for 63 years of Don Dyson of Fenelon Falls.

Loving mother of Anita and her husband Wayne Pike, Sharon and her husband Lloyd Taggart, June and her husband Glen Swanton, Ruby and her boyfriend Brian Baker.

Joan was the loving mother of Brenda Marra (Marcello), Russell Floyd, Ronnie Floyd, and Bryan Grundle (Tracey Alleston). Cherished grandmother of Bryan Andrew, and Amber Skyee.

Joan is lovingly remembered by her brother Ronald Lloyd Clark, and friends Peter, Sandra, Greg and Jessica Dodsworth. She was predeceased by her husbands Joe George Lewis and Russell Douglas Floyd.

Norman, loving husband of 67 years to the late Elsie (Elise) (2013).

Norman will be fondly remembered by his children Doug (Seth) of Markham and Brian (Faye) of Fenelon Falls. Loving Grandpa of Stephanie, Steven and Wendy.

Chapman GaryCHAPMAN, J. Gary - (1940 - 2017) - Died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Judy and loving father of Cheri (Bruce), and Shaun (Top). Loving grandfather of Gavin (Dani), Brady (Rachel), Robby (Randi), Ben (Vic), Hannah and great grandfather of Rome.

Fondly remembered by his sister Gail (Doug), brother-in-law Don (Jane) and sister-in-law Bea (Angus) and nieces and nephews Karen, Rob, Bryan, Heather, Allison, Jennifer, Rebecca, Sarah and John.

Gary was an Ontario Provincial Police officer, a water-colour artist, singer and guitar player who founded his first band “The Virtually Unknowns” at the age of 17.

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 3:30pm in Lindsay, Ontario, Lois Irene Baird left this life.

She was a loving daughter to John Andrew Pollock and Irene Pollock (nee White) (deceased), sister to Betty Waldie (nee Pollock), wife to James Baird (deceased) and mother to Calla Baird (deceased) and Carolyn Lois Baird.

She grew up in Lambton County and never lost her love of the land, she was an excellent gardener, passing on her knowledge and expertise to her daughter Carolyn.

Most of her adult life was spent in Deep River, Ontario, where she worked as a chemist at the Atomic Energy Facility in the Chalk River Nuclear Plant, Laboratories and Research Facility. She has lived for many years in Lindsay, Ontario.

 

Maskell BillMASKELL, William James 'Bill' - Peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee McCourt). Devoted father of Linda Greig (Dave), David (Teresa), Sandy Bromley (Jim) and Keith and father-in-law of Deanne Thomas. Cherished grandfather of William (Jenny), Mike, Rob (Nicola) and Natasha. Adored great-grandfather of Jadelyn, Malikhi and Adam.

Fondly remembered by his surviving siblings in Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Roland and Marjorie of Nova Scotia.
