Born January 15, 1944 at Fenelon Falls, ON. He was a retired Canadian Armed Forces Warrant Officer stationed in Ontario, Manitoba, Lahr Germany, Petawawa, New Brunswick, and Alberta. He also did 4 tours of duty as a peacekeeper in the Middle East. James enjoyed his military career and his times with his wife of 52 years.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Doiron); a daughter, Tara Gordon; a grandson, Jesse, whom Jim and Roberta brought up as their own; a granddaughter, Sophia; half-brothers and half-sisters: Lynn, Scott, Debbie and Gail and a loving aunt, Pat.

 

Osborne Shaw NormanOSBORNE-SHAW, Norman Gene - (August 6, 1999 – July 5, 2017) - Passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side at his home in Oakwood.

Norman was the loving son of Robbin Osborne, and brother/partner-in-crime of Chad (Emily). He was predeceased by his loving Uncle Doug Osborne, and Great Nanny Norma Osborne. He is survived by his parents Shauna Osborne and Damian Shaw, his sister Kiki, and grandmother Bev.

Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wellington Roy “Bud” McKee (2002), and is survived by her children; William (Lynn) of Belle River, Mark (Annette) of Lakefield, Lynda (Robert Burn) of Janetville, Peggy (Darryl Aikman) of Nanoose Bay, B.C., Betty (Stuart Gautier) of Qualicum Beach, B.C., Marion (Ernie Hamilton) of Peterborough, sister Irene and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her son David (1981), and brothers Leonard and Wayne.

John will be remembered deeply by his wife Patricia (nee Hosking).  Caring Father of Johnny (Emily), Dianne (David), Carole (Sean), Jennifer (Kevin), Chris (Karen), and Laurie (Nita).

John will be missed by all his grandchildren and his one great grandchild Ondine Lou.

Nancy was the beloved wife of Alan Bell in their 33rd year of marriage. She is the loving mother of Leigh-Ann Jackman (Adam) and Sarah-Ann Bell (Mike Thaler) and cherished grandmother of Finley Jackman.

Dear sister of Phyllis McCullagh (the late Tony), Jean Holton (Mike), and Wayne Keays (Beth).

Ryan was the son of Brian (Shirley) Swinson and Kim Hotton. He will be remembered always by his siblings Irene (Phil), Aaron (Julie), Jocelyn, Alex, Jasmine (Nathan), and his many nieces and nephews.

Ryan is survived by his grandmothers Muriel (the late Alex) Swinson, and Shirley (the late Mancel) Hotton, and will be missed dearly by his great aunt Inez Angiers, with whom he lived.

 

Kuipers BevKUIPERS, Beverly Joan (nee Linsey) – Was born on March 2, 1938 in Peterborough, Ontario. Bev passed away suddenly at home in Lindsay on July 1, 2017 in her 80th year.

She was the loving mother to Richard (deceased), Michael (Anne), Barry (Jane), and Chris (Janette).

Bev is survived by her brother Ken Killingbeck (Pat) of Trenton, and her sister Karen Acheson (John) of Peterborough. She will be forever loved and remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Beloved wife of Ted Ferridge for over 50 years. Loving mother of Kelly (James), Kevin (Paula) and Jamie (Cathy). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Becky, Robin and Bailey.

Predeceased by her sister Karen.

Judy worked for Hamilton Lumber and later Cashway Building Products in Hamilton as a Buyer.

 

EBERLEE, Altamae Jennifer - (1936 - 2017) - Altamae died peacefully on June 29, 2017 in Lindsay, ON.

She leaves behind her daughter Jennifer (Jeff) and son Doug; her grandchildren Will, Nick, Joe, Sam, Emily, Ellie and Anna; her step-grandsons Christopher and Andrew; her step-great grandson Jack; her sisters Judy (Kerry) and Francie; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Altamae was born in Lindsay on October 17, 1936. She grew up in Bobcaygeon and is a graduate of Lindsay Collegiate Institute and the University of Toronto (Victoria College).

She excelled in many areas during her early years, including winning a Canadian junior water ski championship (slalom) in 1950. Professionally, Altamae was both a social worker with the Children’s Aid Society and a member of the Ontario Parole Board.

Huff Mary AnnHUFF, Mary Ann (Vanderburg) - (October 14, 1948 - June 26, 2017) - 

Mary Ann Vanderburg was born in Holland and came to Canada as a toddler with her parents and brothers. They settled in Lindsay, Ontario where she lived the rest of her life.

She learned the value and love of family through her parents and five brothers, close cousins and friends. She moved through school (St. Mary’s and LCVI) and into a working life at Lindsay Hydro and Fleming College.

In 1968, she met Tom Huff, a young teacher from Picton, Ontario, for whom she shared the importance of family and friendship. Together they cultivated their interests, through travel and parties, camping, walking and being with those they loved. In 1972 their daughter Tanya entered their life, and in 1974 their son Jamie. Now they had the joy of sharing their love with their children.

McCormick PeterMcCORMICK, Peter Kenneth - Surrounded by family, as Johnny Cash played, (Retired CPO2) Peter Kenneth McCormick of Irondale, comfortably passed away at Highland Wood on Friday, June 23, 2017 in his 72nd year.

Peter was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on March 19, 1946 to Ken and Ann McCormick. He was the adored older brother of Susan, Sheila, Debbie, Jeanette and Alison. He was their protector and hero.

When he was 17 he joined the Navy and proudly served his country for nearly 30 years. He was a Prairie kid sailing the Seven Seas. At 45 he suffered a sudden and debilitating illness. Despite losing most of his memories and abilities, he never lost his sense of humour and always wanted to make people laugh.
