Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Francis Joseph Winn (2005) of Reaboro, and daughter of the late Catherine Ann Sheehan and James Joseph Moher of Douro.

Dear mother of Jim (Barb) of Haliburton, Joan (Steve Herlihey) of Downeyville, Bill (Maggie) of Reaboro, and Cyril (Melanie) of Millbrook. Proud grandmother of Adrian (Ashlee), Christina (Mike), Ryan (Ali), Brett (Meaghan), Kenton, Tim, Victoria (Tommy), Vince, Zach, Isabella, Fergus and great granddaughter, Callie.

Cherished grandfather of Alana (Dion), and Cameron (Stacey); great-grandfather of Ainsley and Spencer. He was the loving brother of Helen Lafleur (Marcel).

Doug was predeceased by his parents Earl and Ethel Luery, sisters Madeleine and Marie and brother Bob.

 

Cluff JohnCLUFF, John Dewick - John Dewick Cluff, a long time resident of Victoria Place, Bobcaygeon, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 88 on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.

John was born in Valleyfield, Quebec on January 31, 1929. He was predeceased in 2015 by his beloved wife of 62 years, Audrey (née Reddick). He was the son of John Austin Cluff and Sarah Ada Elizabeth Cluff (née Dewick).

He worked for Dominion Textile for his entire career starting in the lab before progressing to become a Managerial Accountant working mainly in Montreal and Magog, Quebec. He provided consulting services in Europe, Asia and Africa during his career.

She was the beloved wife of the late Claude Smith (1995).

Loving mother of Doug, Julie, and predeceased by son Greg. Cherished grandmother of Jeremy, Joshua, Bradley, Julie, and Mark. Eileen was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Martha Miller, brothers Charles and Donald, and sister Audrey.

It’s with great sadness that the family of Tom announces his sudden passing at his home in Lindsay on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the age of 63.

He leaves behind his three daughters; Christine Hughes, Jamie Cowell (Mark) and Lisa Roy (Todd).

LITTLE, Eleanor Marion - Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on February 20, 2017.

Eleanor was the partner and best friend of Ron Miller of Kirkfield. She was the loving mother of Lori Culbert (Joe Timlin) of Vancouver and cherished grandmother of Ainslie, Drew and Blythe.

Predeceased by her parents Russell and Allison Little of Little Britain. Dear sister of Dave Little (Sandy), Graeme Little (Audrey), Ann Campbell (Dave), Kathy Firth (Ron), and Scott Little (Nancy). She will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was a teacher and a writer. She was an avid gardener, following in the footsteps of her mother Allison.

Claire passed away very peacefully with family by her side at the Peterborough Regional Health Care Centre at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of 67 years to late George Robert Thompson Sr.

Daughter to Amedee Olivier St. Denis and Zaline (Emma) St. Denis (née Henley). Claire was a loving sister to her 7 brothers and sisters, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

 

Diezel AlmaDIEZEL, Alma - (1924 - 2017) - Alma Diezel died peacefully at home on February 19, 2017.

She leaves her son Glenn, daughter-in-law Jude, her beloved grandchildren Zeke (Jillian) and Grace, and family and friends both in Switzerland and Canada.

Alma was born on February 7, 1924 in Switzerland. She spoke often of her happy childhood and the love she shared with her siblings Elsie, Erna, Enoch, Susanne, Arthur and their families.

She met her husband Alexander at the end of the war. After the death of their first child Roy, they moved to Canada to start a new life. The friendships they formed on their journey by ship lasted their lifetimes.

Loved father of Andrew and Leila, and Justin and May. Cherished grandfather of Zurie, Saoirse and Henry. Dear son-in-law of Olga Leonard and her late husband George. Special brother of Linda McLeod (Craig) also brother-in-law to Linda Hoskin, Tom Leonard (Jamie), Patti Selby (Stephen), Kathy Drumm (Jim), Doug Leonard (Beverly), Janet Kingsley.

Joan held a career as a medical secretary at both Sunnybrook and Branson Hospitals before moving to Bobcaygeon in 2007.

Throughout her four-year struggle with a stroke and diabetic complications, the staff at Caressant Care created a comfortable and caring environment with their kindness, compassion, humour, and respect. Words cannot express how much this was appreciated – thank you Dr. Fagan and everyone at Caressant Care.
