Vi (nee Davis), beloved wife of 58 years to Patrick O'Grady, who predeceased her in 2016.

Loving mother of Holly Allen (Lance), Heather Sampson (predeceased husband, Jim), Daryl O'Grady and Mark O'Grady (Diana).  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Dustin, Dani (Alex), Brittany (Andrew), Tyler, Devin, Erin and Sarah.

Vi was predeceased by her parents Reuben and Gladys. Survived by siblings Gaile, Wanda (David), Bruce, Darlene, Dale (Wally) and Warren. Remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.


Crawford ArnoldCRAWFORD, Arnold Howard - Passed away peacefully at Carlingview Manor Thursday August 17, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 93.

Arnold was born June 21, 1924, on the family farm in Marlborough Township, just north of Kemptville. The eldest of six children born to Howard Crawford and his wife Olive Ralph, Arnold learned to take on responsibility at an early age when his father died in 1936 at the age of 41.

As the oldest, Arnold took on the role of man of the house, organizing his brothers and sisters to help get the chores done on the family farm until his mother decided that she could make a better home for her family in Kemptville a few years later.

Murray RobertMURRAY, Robert James 'Bob' - (March 27, 1935 - August 14, 2017) - Bob passed away on August 14, 2017 with dignity and respect.

Bob was a part of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and was a member of the Vimy Band, Air Transport Command Band and CFB Chilliwack Band.

After a 30-year career in the military, Bob was involved in developing the LaSalle Seniors’ Band and was a charter member of the LaSalle Causeway Swing Band. He was always ready to play Last Post for other comrades. He recently received a commendation from the city of Kingston for his many years of playing Last Post at the Cross of Sacrifice for Remembrance Day Services. With his trumpet, his services spanned the 1967 Olympics, numerous tours and installation of the “Jimmy” at the Vimy Gate.


DONNELLY, Sr. Aileen - (Sr. M. Frances of Rome) - Of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, died peacefully on August 13, 2017 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston in her 82nd year of religious life.

Born in MacLeod, Alberta on August 7, 1917, Sister Aileen is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary (Coffey) Donnelly, her sisters, Marjorie Noonan, Christine Hamilton and Evelyn Finn, and her brothers, Patrick, and Francis.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Morrissey of Sarnia, Ontario.

BROWN, Richard M. 'Dick' - (1924 - 2017) - Richard M. Brown passed away peacefully on Sunday August 13, 2017.

Dick was born July 23, 1924 in Dundee, NY, the son of Merrill and Inez Brown. He grew up in Penn Yan, was an Eagle Scout with troop #44, played football and track for Penn Yan Academy, played trumpet for the Penn Yan Academy band earning several awards for his outstanding musical talent.

Dick and his friends formed a jazz band known as "Dick Brown and his Orchestra," and played for many school and community functions, performing the Big Band music of the day. He was also a member of the ham radio club where he earned his radio operator|s license.
