For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

BERTRAND, Madelyn Anne (nee Polk) - (1954 - 2017) -

Age: 63. After a very long brutal struggle with ALS, Madelyn died peacefully in the early morning on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario.

Loving mother of Michael Bertrand and his wife Krista, loving grandmother to Evan and Zoey.


Tobin VinceTOBIN, Patrick 'Vincent' 'Vince' - (January 11, 1935 - December 23, 2017) - God finally answered Vince's prayers and to his delight, God has taken him Home to be with him.

Sad to see him go is his partner in life Gwendolyn Joyce Myers, children of his heart Patricia MG Frandsen, Wanda Joy and her husband Brett Christensen, Vincent JC and his wife Sandra Tobin.

He was the proud Poppa of Sasha Frandsen and her husband Mark Hewitt, Craig Frandsen; Brendan, Jessica and Emily Christensen; and Raina Tobin. Surviving him is his brother Edmund Tobin, brother-in-law Calvin Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Poroznik SheilaPOROZNIK, Sheila Caroline (nee MacLean) - Passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Providence Care Hospital at the age of 73.

Lovingly remembered by her Son A.J. (Amy) of Amherstview, adored grandmother of Eric and Alexander.

Dear son of Mary Epping and the late Henry Epping; brother of Ann Clarke; and uncle to many.


KELLWAY, Joan Marguerite - Passed away peacefully Friday December 22, 2017 in Kingston, Ontario at the age of 93.

She was predeceased by her loving husband James Garrett and is survived by her sons Jonathan and Matthew, daughters-in-law Reiko and Donna, grandchildren James, Emily, Kiko, Hannah and Rory.

Joan dedicated her life to her family and to education. She attended the University of Bristol during WWII, graduating in 1945 with an Honours B.A. and a Diploma in Education, while serving as a bomb shelter warden during nightly air raids. Post-WWII, Joan became Headmistress at a School in Berlin for the children of British Army soldiers.

Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home following a lengthy illness with family by his side. Loving wife of 60 years to Beverly Robinson. Proud father of John (Heather), Heather (Chris), and David (Gillian).

Devoted grandfather of Kate (Drew), Robbie (Victoria), Sarah (Rob), Michael (Kaitlin), Melissa, and Emily (Mitch). Special grandfather to Christian (Torie and little Josslyn), Austin, and Joey. Proud great grandfather of Spencer “little Duke”.

Trixie will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred Green and the former Nellie Pottinger.
