For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Laycock) and dear father of Paul Mitchell (Helen), Vanessa (Anthony) Freer and Judith Hart (Glenn).

Also survived by his grandchildren David and Laura Mitchell, Caroline Lewis (Grant), Simon Freer, Nora Bond (Rob) and Alistair Hart (Erika) as well as eight great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by a special friend Huguette Senecal and her daughters Louise and France.


Bernier ClaireBERNIER, Claire (Fink) - Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the age of 86 years.

Beloved wife of Roland Bernier and cherished mother of Denise Bernier, Suzanne Macdonald (Steven) and Lynne Bernier (Hervé Blais). Dear grandmother of Alain, Christien, Stephane, Pamela, Angela, Steven, Melissa and Jamie.

Also survived by 12 great grandchildren; her sister Jacquie (Allan Devolin); her brother George Fink (Lise Patry) and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Cecile and René Fink and by several siblings.

Bettyann, loving mother of Crystal (Jason), Candace (Andrew) and Christopher (Brittany).  She will be fondly remembered by three grandchildren Nate, Caleb and Carter.

Bettyann was predeceased by her grandparents Arthur and Myrtle Green and Ernest and Annie Wisteard, her father Carmen and her husband Michael Smith.

She is survived by her mother Betty Green, sister Ellen, brothers Carmen (Betty), and Fred (Cathy) as well as her niece Sam and her great niece Little Lou Lou.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon Benedict Tuepah.  Loving mother of Brian Tuepah (Sandy).

Very proud grandmother of Johnathon and Sarah Tuepah.


Moore AlfredMOORE, Alfred John - Passed away peacefully at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee with loving family at his side on Thursday, November 30, 2017, in his 94th year.

The youngest of five children to the late Frank and Susan Moore, Alfred was a true work horse in everything he did. From digging ditches, to working at the plant, to assisting the Asselstines in Hartington with the farming.

The twins always said “he taught them the ropes."

Barb (nee Small), beloved wife of 48 years to Paul Woodman. Much loved mother of Scott, Brent (Lesley) and Stephanie (Christopher). Cherished grandmother of Kyle, Colton and Vaughn.

Dear sister of Marilyn Marshall (Don). Dear sister in law of Anne Dompierre (Butch). Barb will be sadly missed by her special friends Wilson and Spectre. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Hare MarionHARE, Marion Taylor (Birch) - Marion Taylor Hare (nee Birch), on November 30, 2017, at Belleville General Hospital, just days short of her 101st birthday.

Predeceased by husband Harold (1983) and son Brian (2017). Sadly missed by daughter Marjorie (Dominique) and son Ronald (Laura).

Marion leaves five grandsons (Tim, Stephen, Duncan, Phil, Art), two great grandsons (Owen, Gavin) and six nieces (Joyce, Joan, Margaret-Ann, Joanne, Sandy, Mary Estelle). 


Lodge ThomasLODGE, Thomas Francis - (April 17th, 1946 - November 30th, 2017) - At the age of 71 years, Tom passed into the Arms of his Lord, peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

A kind man whose generosity and care for others was his guiding light in life. He will be lovingly remembered by all for his grace, dignity and generous spirit.

Tom will be remembered for ever in the hearts and minds of his wife Ann (nee McConnell); daughter Christina and his Grand Daughter Olivia; his sister Marion Soady and her husband Bill; his brothers and sisters-in-law: David and Norma McConnell, John and Cheryl McConnell, Allan and Brenda McConnell and Gordon and Sandy McConnell; as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Kate and sister-in-law Joan, survived by his brother Mike.

Devoted husband to Donna (2015), his lifelong love and fishing buddy. Loving father to Reneé, Michelle, Debbie (Roland Shillington), Lori-Ann (Ed Hohmann), Tony (Angie Swain) and Mark (Melanie). Proud Grampa of 13 Grandchildren, and many great Grandchildren.
